bat to handle dos newline

Hi, I wanted to know can we incorporate bat to handle newlines for both linux and dos format, same as cat in linux handles it.

Is it intentional or can i try to add feature to handle dos new line, with bat --dos filename (where filename has dos newline)

Can you give a specific example of what you mean please (like a file showing the behavior)? I guess by DOS format you mean CRLF? In what way does bat currently not handle it correctly?
