The firmware has been updated since Nov 2024 to save the threshold values to flash.

While system76/ec#498 was merged on 2024-11-26, system76/firmware-open#599 (to pull it into firmware-open) was merged on 2025-02-04. That means any firmware version dated 2025-02-04 or later should include the saving capability, as indicated in the changelog. I'm rewording a bit to simplify and be more specific. |

Reworded to try and make it as clear as possible that the section's no longer relevant for recent firmware versions. I do think it's a good idea to keep the info around for the time being.
